This recording at St. David's opens with Dr. Laura Hernández-Ehrisman singing a mornful song before her lecture on the history and tradition of Día de los Muertos. She asked those in Crail C the question, "How do you remember your dead?"
In this presentation, Dr. Hernández-Ehrisman discusses the meaning of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), an All Souls' Day tradition rooted in Indigenous and Spanish Catholic ritual customs.
She also discuss why St. Davids' parishioners create an annual ofrenda (altar) for the event. She encouraged the St. David's community to participate in this annual celebration by bringing labeled mementoes of deceased loved ones to the Front Desk.
