Show Notes

Amanda Johnston, the 2024 Texas Poet Laureate, completed our National Poetry Month lecture series by reading some of her favorite poets and her own poetry. She invited us to reflect on poetry's power to engage us in ways that challenge us, provoke us to action, and help us access our deeper wisdom as individuals and as a community. In her interview with Dr. Mona West, Amanda previewed new work and gave insights into an upcoming Texas praise poem project.
